Treat Yourself With Sakara Life

Treat Yourself With Sakara Life

I’ve noticed in my personal life that the foods I choose to eat have a big effect on my mood, my energy levels, and how I physically feel, and I’m sure that you’ve had a similar experience. That’s where Sakara Life comes in! This food delivery company focuses on nine pillars of nutrition, including eating the rainbow and getting enough protein on a plant-based diet. I’ve been working as an affiliate for Sakara Life for about two years now because I love the way their food tastes and makes me feel. Every one of their meals is plant-based, organic, gluten-free, and approved by an advisory council of physicians. It can be really tough to find healthy meals that don’t include preservatives or processed foods, but still taste good at the same time. For my foodies out there, Sakara has collaborated with chefs such as Mike Bagale, who was the executive chef of three-Michelin-starred Alinea, so they got you covered! Last week, I ordered breakfast, lunch, and dinner for five days, and I’ve been looking forward to sharing my experience with you:

How Meal Delivery Works

Sakara Life delivers meals directly to your front door in the (very early) morning on the first day of your meal program. Every meal comes in recyclable containers that I love to reuse for future meals and snacks like salads or fruit, and they’re surrounded by ice packs that you can reuse or recycle. The most work you’ll have to do is heat up a meal for five minutes! The deadline to order any meal program is the Thursday before it begins by 9 PM (PST).

What Suprised Me the Most

When I’ve ordered Sakara in the past, I typically only order lunch and dinner since I didn’t know if breakfast would be worth it. I eat egg whites and (avocado) toast every morning, so Sakara’s breakfasts didn’t look as filling in comparison to my norm. I was so surprised by how filling all of their breakfasts ended up being though! I didn’t need any snacks between breakfast and lunch, and I felt way more full than expected. Breakfast was also consistently my favorite meal. I normally don’t get to eat a “goji rose donut” or “chia coconut protein waffles” in the morning, so breakfast felt like such a treat. Everything was so tasty and going forward, I’ll definitely be checking the box for their breakfast items.

My Top Three Favorite Meals

If I had to choose…my favorite breakfast was the goji rose donut. It had this perfect balance between tart and sweet flavors with its ingredients like raspberries, goji berries, coconut butter, and applesauce. My favorite lunch was the truffle kale salad with cashew “parmesan” (shown above). It was the most beautiful salad that even had edible flowers in it, and the truffle oil dressing was amazing. My favorite dinner was the rising sun quesadilla. I couldn’t even tell that the entire meal was vegan and gluten-free, and that’s how you know it’s good. It was my first time having all three of these meals and it was love at first sight. I would definitely keep an eye out for these items in future menus. If you want a friend to try these meals with, you know where to find me!

How I Felt During the Week

IMG_9386.JPG

I’m used to feeling bloated at least a few times a week after eating a meal, but I had ZERO bloat during all of last week. Sakara’s meals made me feel light and energized, and it felt so freeing to eat everything without feeling any sort of stomach issues. That feeling in and of itself has convinced me to order Sakara more often. I’ve also received questions about trying to lose weight with a meal program or the top-selling Metabolism Super Powder. I never weigh myself, but I decided to do it before and after my meal program to help give you an answer. I lost 2-3 pounds after finishing the meal program and the only lifestyle change I made was incorporating Sakara’s meals. Whatever your intentions are, I hope that Sakara’s meals allow you to feel like your best self, like they did for me!

Feed Your Spirit!

As much as I love how clean Sakara Life’s meals are, they can definitely be pricey since the company uses lots of high-quality ingredients. To save some extra $$, I recommend ordering when you can see yourself loving (just about) every meal on the menu. You can view weekly menus up to around three weeks out, so I like to look ahead and compare each week’s menu to see which one stands out the most. You can also select how many meals you’d like to order as well as the length of your meal program, so I would recommend toggling around with different options. I also want to preface that you don’t have to be “healthy’ to order Sakara. It’s a great way to figure out how you feel after incorporating new foods into your lifestyle. Lastly, you can get 20% off anything Sakara with my promo code XOANJALI. Just type in the code at check out and you’re good to go. Feel free to comment on this post or contact me directly with any thoughts or questions. In the words of Sakara, “feed your spirit!”
